17 More Days! :)

There is just 17 more days until I get to enter this place with the man of my dreams and be sealed to him for all time and eternity!! Oh how I have waited for this day my whole life and now it is just a matter of days (under 20 to be exact)!! I just can't wait!!

I can see a lil light shining!!

A little background first: As all of you know the education department at Utah State has given me the rounds. I didn't get accepted to level 2 the first time, so then I reapplied and I got in. Well then I had to apply for level 3 and they told me that I wouldn't be able to get in during the Fall of 2010 because there were so many students already accepted. I just kind of said okay, and moved on with my life because that is what I have learned to do. Because of all of this I dropped my Special Education major, so I would only have 3 semesters after this one to complete. I decided that I didn't really care to go to school for 3 more years and plus Im getting MARRIED!! :)

Anyways: Yesterday I went in to meet with my advisor to see which classes I needed to take in the fall for my emphasis. She looked at me like I was some kind of crazy person and asked why I wasn't doing level 3. Needless to say she made one phone call to see if there was a waiting list. There was NOT a waiting list...and there was an OPENING!!!:) She told the lady to hurry and put my name down and I would be in to fill out the paper work. I do have to take 10 credits this summer, but I will be doing my student teaching in the Spring and will graduate in May of 2011.... I CAN SEE THE LIGHT!!!! EXCITED!?!?!?! YES I AM!!!

a lil bit of heaven....

As a little girl, you always dream of your wedding day. You plan it out and have every detail exactly as you want it. You imagine all of your friends and family being there. And then sometimes life throws unexpected turns and sometimes those people can't be there physically, but they will always be with you in Spirit.

My shower today was so great. Summer did an amazing job. She is so amazing! I can't believe everything she pulled off. She definitely knows how to throw a party that is for sure.
Anyways...on with the story. My day was made as my Grandma Carol's best friend walked through the door today and gave me a hug and handed me a gift and told me that I may want to open it privately because it may cause tears and today was supposed to be a "happy" day. Well of course the tears came because they always do. I eventually gained my composure and went on with the shower. Pretty soon my Aunt Tammy and Grandma Bev walked through the door with the greatest thing of all. They put together a "Mammy" for me. This is a tradition that was carried on in my Grandma Carol's family. My mom and Aunt Tammy both got one when they got married and so did my Grandma Carol. My Aunt Tammy looked at me and asked if I knew where it came from. The tears flooded down my face and I said, "Grandma Carol."

As the shower was close to ending and I had mainly family remaining I decided I would open the special present that Gloria had brought. I opened it up and it was a picture frame of my Grandma's picture scanned next to a picture of Gloria. They could have been sisters that is for sure. This gift was so special and something I will treasure FOREVER. The frame says HAPPY! Need I say more?

My Grandma Carol wasn't able to attend this event physically, but she was definitely here in Spirit that is for sure. I sure do miss her, but I know she is always by me!!
