a new post with PICTURES! :)

I just got my engagement pictures back today! I loved how they turned out. My friend Alishia Lee took them. She did such an awesome job. I am sure she appreciated the fact that me and Tyler couldn't stop laughing long enough to be serious. Here is a few of them.

First day of 5th Grade!

Today was my first day of my 5th grade practicum. Can I say how much I miss my lil kindergartners? I get there and every single one of them is taller than me. Then I get trampled while taking them to their computer class. I feel like the teacher is teaching me because what they are learning is kind of over my head. Over-whelmed? Yes a lil! :S

However, on a funny note one kid told me today that we have to be careful what kind of mushrooms we eat because some mushrooms can make us high!! I thought that was pretty funny.

Another student uses a motorized wheel chair and I needed to take him to his aid for a potty break and he went out the door and goes lets race, I bet I will beat you. He took off going so fast. I was thinking to myself, do I sprint down the hallway to catch up or what do I do? I was always taught to never run in the school hallways, so I just walked REALLY REALLY fast.

I am enjoying my practicum though. I love being with kids and being able to see how they all learn differently. I can't wait until I actually get to have my own classroom and call it my own. (only 3 semesters! :(...so LONG!)

Just a Lil Catch Up!

With school I have been super busy, so my life is pretty boring. However my check list for the wedding is getting shorter and shorter. :) We just got our engagements taken last week and they turned out so GOOD. I love them! Now I am just waiting for the announcements to get put together, so I can choose which one I like and then the long and tedious job of addressing them comes, but thankfully I have a great mom who has already started on that list. :)

I have a few pictures of Tyler and I's super bowl party. Tyler decided to fry a turkey and that was a process. He is a little chef though. I made homemade buttermilk brownies and I may have had a little bit of fun with the frosting after I got them frosted!! :) Ooppss!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! :)

Valentine's weekend ended up being the super long weekend because of President's Day and I decided I needed to go home and get some wedding stuff done and the reception planned. I left Tyler in Logan, and I probably won't ever do that again. Well you only have one FIRST Valentine's Day, so I know it won't happen again. haha!! However he spoiled me so much. On Saturday I came home from shopping in Twin all day with my mom and found TWO dozen roses on my front step. They were absolutely gorgeous! I then came back to Logan on Monday and he surprised me with something I have always wanted. A very sparkly rhinestone cowgirl belt. Believe me it SPARKLES!!

bUSy!..!

School has officially started and I am definitely in the middle of a mess it feels like at times. I am doing my level II this semester, so pretty much I go to school all day every day. Its crazy!! The Elementary that I teach (help) at starts at 8:10 and ends at 2:30, so I have to be there from 7:40-3:00. I am in a kindergarten classroom and actually am loving it. Just spending seven days in the classroom already has proven to me that I know that I want to be a teacher. I look forward to being there everyday. Its such a great experience. I learn so much from these kids. So I go to the school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and then also take night classes on those nights until 7. And then on Mondays I take 4 classes all day...yes until 7 at night too. Fridays I only have one class, but instead of taking the day off to do homework, I go to work at Little Wonders and spend the rest of the day with more kids :)!

My school life is a bit hectic, and then planning a wedding (thank you mom and Summer for helping out with this :) ) adds a lil bit more stress on. And I get to see him for like an hour a day or so...its GREAT!!!!! :)

Anyways...to this long post and picture comes my point.....last night Tyler left to go to work at 8:30 and I am pretty sure that as soon as he walked out the door of my apartment I fell asleep on the couch, in my clothes (not pj's).... anymore I just fall asleep wherever I am. How much longer before the semester is over?!??!? :)

I am loving every minute of this though. Its so awesome and I love being engaged and I love being in my program and actually taking classes that I want to take!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Tyler and I had a great first Christmas. We left Logan on Christmas Eve and headed to Idaho Falls. We went to the Howell Christmas Eve Party and then spent the evening in Idaho Falls. We then drove on Christmas Day to Burley and spent a few hours with my family and went to the big Harman Christmas Day party. Tyler then had to head back to Logan, so he could go to work at 4 AM today. I stayed and will be staying with my family for a few days. There was a lot of traveling this Christmas, but I wouldn't have done it any different. It was great being able to spend the holdiays with both of our families. I can't wait until I get to call the Butterworth's my family. They are GREAT!!

Saturday was a GREAT day! :)

On Saturday Tyler and I made a little adventure to Salt Lake. Of course the Dallas Cowboys were playing that night, so going to see the lights at Temple Square was not the only thing we were going to go and do. However, it took us a little longer to get out of Logan, than we both had planned, so we stopped in Layton at Iggy's Sports Grill to watch the game. It was great and I think i may end up becoming a Cowboys fan. Not because I like them, but because Tyler is a lot happier when they win. At halftime the Cowboys were winning by quite a ways, so I begged Tyler to let us leave. We made a compromise of leaving Iggy's if I would read him the updates of the game to him that I was getting on my phone.

After the Cowboys game was over and Tyler was done celebrating we made the cold trek across Salt Lake to go and look at the lights. I was so excited. Tyler had never been before and I was so excited to be able to share this moment with him. It was a little bit foggy that night and it just made the lights and the temple look more beautiful. I love the Salt Lake Temple and at Christmas Time it just looks even more beautiful.

The classic picture as soon as you walk in through the gates. I love it! :)

I had mentioned to Tyler at one time when we were just sitting and looking at the lights next to one of the fountains there that I thought it was cheesey when guys purposed on Temple Square. I had meant that everybody does it, so I just thought that it was cheesey. He never really agreed with me he just explained to me that it showed a lot of symbolism. I agreed with him and we got up and walked away from that spot and continued walking around Temple Square.

This was the only picture Tyler and I got that night of us together. We asked the lady to please get the Temple in it, but I guess you can't be too picky right?!?

I had such a great time and I didn't think it could have gone any better. I had such a great time walking around and sharing that GREAT feeling with Tyler.

On the way home we missed the Logan exit, so we took a bit of a detour, but I am not complaining! We didn't get back to my apartment until late and we were just sitting on the couch talking. I told Tyler that I was going to go and get in my pj's because it had been a long night. I went and got dressed and was just doing some other odds and ends. When I came out I asked Tyler if he wanted me to make him cinnamon rolls the next day. He said yes. I then when and opened up the fridge and found this bedazzled golf ball in my fridge.....

I immediately shut the fridge and looked at Tyler and said, "Are you for real, Tyler?" He said, "Well lets just open that fridge and see what is in there.." I took out the bedazzled golf ball and opened it and found.......

Yes this all happened right then and there in my apartment kitchen in my pajamas. I have never been so excited before in my life.

After he purposed to me and I calmed down a bit he explained that he was going to purpose to me at Temple Square because he knew it would take me by complete surprise because going there was my idea. However, "I" ruined that about FIVE SECONDS before he was going to purpose to me with the great comment of "I think its cheesey when....." I couldn't have felt more like a brat. But life is always exciting when I am around I guess.

The story of how we met was quite hilarious, so we couldn't have a boring engagement story. I feel so bad and I can't believe he still gave me the ring and wants to marry me after I did that. I felt horrible!

I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with Tyler! It is going to be a great adventure that I can't wait to start.

hApPy ThAnKsGiViNG! :)

Thanksgiving comes at a great time of year. It comes at the end and gives me time to reflect on everything that has happened throughout the whole year and realize that I have so much to be grateful for.
I have so much to be thankful for this year.

DAD: He is such a great man. I love him. I love his random texts to see how I am doing or his phone calls. It always makes me feel so great inside.
MOM: She should get paid for her job. This last year she has become my therapist. Thanks for always listening.
AJ and Summer: You two are the greatest. Thanks for being such great example to me and showing me that when trials are placed in front of you that anyone can make it through them.
Travis: Yes, he may be a little fart, but our home wouldn't be the same without him. He truly is a ball of fire and makes life fun and interesting in our home.
School and the Education Program: I am grateful that I didn't get into my program the first time because it taught me to be patient and see if there really was something out there for me. Of course I ended up getting in, but I needed to try and work a little harder. I am also grateful that I am able to attend school and get an education.
Religion: I am grateful that I have such a strong religion that I can lean back on and know that wherever I live or move to the church is the same and they are always so accepting of me.
Unanswered Prayers: I am grateful for this one as odd as it may seem, but I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for them. At the time I may have been frustrated, but now that I reflect back and see what I have now, I know I was being told what I needed to know.
Friends: I have made some of the greatest friends ever. I love them and their randomness. I didn't believe people when they told me you would make your best friends at college, but that has become true.
Lish: Thanks for being my best friend. She is like my little sister that I never had. Thanks for always being there Lisha when I just needed a shoulder to cry on, or tell you the most exciting news ever. This past month you have been there through everything for me. Thanks for the great example you have been to me too.
Tyler: I don't even know where to start....I am very grateful to have you in my life. You came just at the perfect time and everything has been perfect since. You put the biggest smile on my face. :) Thanks for always being there when I need to vent away about anything and everything.
Little Wonders: I am grateful to be able to have a job while I am going to school. I am so thankful for all the girls that are there and for the great friendships I have made there.

This is just a few of the things that I can name off, but there is so many small things, memories, laughing, crying, and many many more. It truly has been a great year and I have so much to be thankful for.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
